By the Boardwalk

What’s great about this hotel is that you are by the beach and also by the board walk!

The boardwalk is so much fun!

To learn more about it, check out the Ultimate Guide to Puerto Vallarta Boardwalk!

You can also see mariachis and other performers while you’re on the boardwalk.

If you love mariachis as much as I do, and you want to make sure that you get to enjoy them, be sure to read my Complete Guide to Enjoy Mariachis in Puerto Vallarta!

The Rooftop Patio

The rooftop patio is free for all guests to use.  There are some couches with beautiful plants, and spots to enjoy the view.

The view is absolutely amazing!🏖️

Palm tree peak through your view of the ocean and umbrellas on the beach!

You can see parasailors sailing by and hear the waves and mariachis as you chill on the roof!

Si Señor

Si Senor restaurant and beachview

Si Senor is the restaurant that is attached to Emperador Beachfront Hotel & Suites.

Because it’s beachfront, hotel guests get access to the tables and beach lounge chairs by the ocean.

Also, as a guest you get 10% off your drinks and food at Si Senor.

My fave is their table-side guacamole. You can get it made right beside you, and you can pick how you like it! Spicy, no onions, etc…

They have a full menu.

First thing, you can get up and have breakfast as you watch the pelicans soaring around the fisherman in the morning.

Then, you can have tacos or a typical Mexican dish for lunch, then take your hotel beach towel and lounge on the beach chairs 🏖️ while sipping your margarita! 🍹

And of course, swim in the ocean! 🏊

Later, you can dine while you watch the sunset, and listen to the musicians playing next to your candlelight table.

In the evening it can be very romantic – the candlelight; mariachis playing as they wander along the boardwalk and beach; nice food; bottles of wine and great service!

The Rooms and Suites

Finally, where you will lay your head!

There are 3 types of rooms that you can stay in at this hotel.

You can pick a basic hotel room or 1 of the 2 types of suites.

You can find each type of room on each floor too! So, if it’s available, you could choose a lower level, or top floor.

There is an elevator in the building, so no worries if you’re on the top floor.

Junior Suite Room

This is the largest hotel room in the building.

This room can be for 2-6 people, like a family.

In Spanish it’s called ‘Junior suite doble’.

On the other side of the blue wall is another king size bed.

On top of that, there is also a couch to chill on in these rooms!

These rooms all have a oceanfront view with a balcony.

They all have a kitchenette with a fridge, stove and basic dishes too.

There are closets in all 3 types of rooms with some hangers, drawers and a shelf.

You also get a TV with cable channels.  They are mostly in Spanish, but I did find some that are in English too.

Standard Suite

These rooms are the 2nd largest rooms.

In Spanish this room is called ‘estandar suite’.

The room has:

  • a king size bed
  • desk and chair
  • with remote
  • a kitchenette with a…
  • stove
  • fridge
  • dishes
  • dining table
  • balcony facing the ocean
  • TV

The rooms are very clean and the balconies are beautiful!

What’s nice is that you can cook your own breakfast and eat while you enjoy people watching and hearing the ocean waves!

Standard Hotel Room

This is a hotel room, rather than a suite.

In Spanish it’s called ‘habitacion hotelera’.

There is not a kitchenette in this type of room.  According to Carlos De Leon, the general manager for the past 10 years, there are some bar fridges that may be available in case someone needs a bar fridge for medication etc.

This type of room also has a desk and chair too.

There are phones in all of the rooms, so you can call reception if you need any information, supplies, or you want them to call a taxi for you.

The view from these rooms is a city view.  There are not balconies, but there are big windows that open.

OH! How could I forget, all of the rooms, every type, have air conditioning too!

That should have been one of the first things I said, YES, there is air conditioning in all the rooms!

Lobby & front desk

All the front desk staff speak English and Spanish.

There is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day.

They close the front entrance late at night, but it’s not locked.

They are very helpful and accommodating.

An example, when I was unpacking I asked for extra hangers, and they found some for me and delivered them to me.

If you want to go to the beach, just ask the front desk staff for a towel and they you just sign your name on a little check out paper.

That’s it, when you’re done, you just return it to the front desk.

There is also wifi in the building that is included with the cost of your room.

In the lobby there’s also a computer that guests can use if they like.

View from rooftop of beach

This is one of the 1st properites in Los Muertos beach area!

It first opened in the mid 1970s.  It was called La Gloria Del Mar.

The name changed in 1998 to Emperador Beachfront Hotel & Suites.

Emperador Beachfront Hotel & Suites has a location that is right in front of this beach.  It’s the most happening beach in all of Puerto Vallarta!

The manager says that they give special rates to repeat customers and people staying for an extended stay!

If you’re a regular who comes every year, they may possibly be able to store a small kitchen appliance, like a waffle maker, that you bought, so you can use it next year.  …But you must come yearly for this special perk!

'Los Muertos beach is the most popular beach, everything is happening in this area."

You can book your room here!

Carlos De Leon says that they have attractive rates for a beachfront hotel.

He explains that they do this by having basic services done well, as a result, Emperador Beachfront Hotel & Suites has one of the best rate on the beach!

There is good A/C and an emphasis on cleaning.

Oscar De Leon says that when it comes to guests’ requests, they try not to say ‘no’ up front, instead they try to say ‘yes’ as much as they can.

What’s up and coming?

* Well, Oscar De Leon has been thinking about making some improvements to the rooftop, as if it wasn’t great already!

He is thinking about redoing the jacuzzi, and possibly adding a sunset hour cocktail bar on the roof.
