It’s a beautiful fall day, the leaves are so vibrant and bright… you want to drive around and enjoy the weather and some nice scenery for the day… but where?

So, my husband and I drove on Forks of the Credit Road.
It’s located in Caledon, Ontario, Canada. Caledon is about a 1-hour drive from Toronto.
Forks of the Credit Road is 7 kilometers long, that’s 4.34 miles, for those of you who do miles.
I really recommend this road if you enjoy scenic drives and nice winding roads, especially during the fall!
…but make sure you are not in a rush, it can be busy!
So many people want to see the fall leaves and enjoy the crazy bends and turns in the road.
If you have not seen a Canadian fall, check out the Fall Colours in Southern Ontario, Canada to see the beauty that is fall!
Sometimes, especially when the leaves are showing all the fall colours, the road can be very busy.
You may see police at certain spots, so make sure that you’re not speeding. The speed limit is 50 km throughout this road.
It’s also only a 2 lane road, 1 lane per direction. There are many signs that say that passing is not allowed on this road, so take your time and make sure you’re not in a rush.
Sometimes they have pylons along the sides of the road to stop people from pulling over. Many people want to take pictures with the leaves.
One good thing, you won’t see any big trucks or buses because they simply can’t make this crazy turn in the picture below.
Honestly, the picture doesn’t really show how sharp the curve really is.
It’s not that long of a drive, so enjoy all the curves, and the beautiful scenery.
It’s actually not too long of a drive either, I would say about 20 minutes.
So, have fun with the twists and turns in the road.
During this drive on a nice day, you will see motorcycles, cyclists, lots of people and cars…
I have included a map so that you can see where exactly these places are, and you can book your hotel if you decide to stay there.
We actually didn’t have any stops planned.
We just wanted to drive this road that we heard so much about, but there were so many people hanging out at this one corner, so we just had to stop and check it out!
Higher Ground Cafe was the name of our 1st stop.
The parking lot was full of motorcycles and people sitting on the patio.
They have coffee, baked goods, lunch, wraps, hot dogs…
They even have an ice cream window at the side of the cafe!
They sell some things like handmade soaps, coffee, honey, jams, maple syrup… stuff like that too.
If you ride a motorcycle this is definitely the road for you! I can’t even count the number of bikes that we saw! I feel like there were just as many motorcycles as there were cars!
This is a popular stop for ice cream, coffee, and lunch!
Higher Ground Cafe is located at 17277 Old Main Street, Belfountain, Ontario.
It’s open everyday from 8-5.

Once again, still no plan, we just turned left on to a random street because why not… 🤷
We drove for just a bit, then something caught out attention, so naturally we stopped.
We ended up at an Estate Cidery.
Spirit Tree Estate Cidery was so inviting!
It was such a beautiful day with people lounging outside at picnic tables while a singer with a guitar played Sweet Caroline (bah bah bah).
Not only that, seeing everyone sipping their ciders and savouring wood fired oven pizza was more than enough to get us to hang there for a while.
You can see their pizza slices and pizza oven in the picture below.
You can order slices, or order a whole for pizza for you and your friends or family.
Although we didn’t do it, they have apple picking in their orchard.
There is a back patio area and a front grassed area to sit outside and enjoy.
They have a bar outside where you can order hard ciders. They also sell sweet ciders too, which is without alcohol.
If you love the pumpkin spice drinks, you’re in luck. They have a Pumpkin Spice Craft Cider that I think you may like.
They actually make different types of ciders like an ice cider, cranapple spritzer, dry ciders and more.
Their ciders are also made with apples and pears.
I recommend checking their social media such as their Facebook page or their website for their hours.
The hours change as the time of year changes. Sometimes they are opened from Wednesdays to Sundays, this changes as the season does too.
They do host some special events like:
So, those were our cool spots that we discovered along out little road trip. Can't wait to share with you what we will discover on our next little road trip!
Where will you go next?
Whether it’s because you had too much cider, you’re tired, or just want to enjoy more tomorrow.
It’s a good idea to get a hotel and be safe.
You can look at different hotels here, and even book your hotel right here too!

Sounds like such a beautiful adventure! I love going for rides and turning just to see where this roads goes, such a wonderful way to find hidden gems! One of my favourite drives that feeds my soul is the drive on the Niagara parkway from the falls to Niagara-on-the-lake. The way the trees frame the road is my favourite! I love that drive in any season!
