A classic Canadian fall activity

Have you ever been to a corn maze or a fall farm? Are you looking to go to a corn maze in Southern Ontario, Canada?

This is definitely a fall tradition for many in Canada, that along with going to a pumpkin patch!  All that fall farm fun stuff!

Well, I have a place for you! A corn maze and fall farm in Ontario called Hanes Corn Maze!

How can you resist all that cuteness!

Although it’s called Hanes Corn Maze, there’s a lot more that the corn maze to do there.

You could have a full day of fun at Hanes Corn Maze.

So, let me show you some of the fun to be had.

It is a very family friendly type place, but still very fun for adults too.

The Petting Farm

Donkeys, pigs, and chickens, oh my!

There are actually a lot more animals than that, and they are all very calm.  Some are very eager to come up to the fence to say hello to you!

So many cute and interesting animals to see!

There are food pellets that you can feed the animals, you can pet them too.  All the animals that I saw were very friendly, or they just ignored you. 🤣

The cows and turkeys didn’t seem to pay any attention my husband and I, or anyone else that I saw there.

Other animals were so pleased to come up to you and even stick their head up to the fence or through the holes of the fence! So cute!

Sports and Activities

There are some fun activities that you can do for no extra charge.

There are some physical activities like shooting some hoops into the basketball net and playing tether ball.

Also, there is the children’s playground. There are picnic tables for parents to chill while their children run around and play.

There are also some fun activities scattered around the farm like this maze activity on the green board below.

The playground has a sandbox, swings, tires, riding toys, and more. Actually, they even have a mini-maze for the young ones to go through.

Here is a map so that you can see  where the Corn Maze is.

Also, you can find nearby hotels so that you can enjoy the area even more.

The Pumpkin Patch

Of course, there is a pumpkin patch at Hanes too!

You can pick your own pumpkin for only $5 bucks!

They give you a wagon so you can pick out as many as you need without having to carry them through the farm.

I find this makes it much more enjoyable because you are not lugging a heavy pumpkin in your arms.

Pumpkin BLASTER!!

This is actually as fun as it sounds!

There are there big cannon-type machines that you literally drop a pumpkin into. Of course, these are just mini pumpkins.  Could you imaging launching a huge pumpkin! 😆

Next, you press a compressor button, the pressure of the air shoots the pumpkin far across the field! 🎃

How fun! If you want to let off some steam, this could be a great way for you to do it!

This pumpkin blaster is so much fun! You can pick how many mini pumpkins you want to blast across the field.

You can even practice aiming at the targets in the field if you like.

One word of warning, they are loud.

The Corn Maze

What you have been waiting to read about – the corn maze!

I am curious how many people have been in a corn maze before? I would love it if you let me know in the comments below.

This corn maze is huge! 🌽🌽🌽

To be more exact, it’s a 20 acre corn maze! That’s enough to get lost in for sure.

Hopefully you don’t get lost for too long!! Here is what Hanes Corn Maze says about people who get lost! 🤣

Loving their sense of humour!

The corn stalks are on average 10 feet tall, so you can’t see over them.

So, obviously the goal is to get through the corn maze and exit through the exit.

Hanes Corn Maze adds a twist to this!

You get a clip board and there are checkpoints that you have to find in the corn maze, when you find them all, you exit the maze.

After you find all of the check points, you take your clipboard over to a decoding station.

There are also quite a few photo areas where you pose with things, or put your head through the hole so you look like a character.

Fun!

As always, you can pose with the many animals at the farm too!

Things to bring with you, how to prepare

If it is dry, you will get dusty shoes.  Flat comfortable shoes for sure-  that you are ok with them getting dusty. It may also be muddy, depending upon if it rained.

Basically, dress to be outside for a few hours at least.

Make sure that you don’t bring your pet, as they are not allowed.  They do allow service animals.

There is a sunflower maze that ends its season before the corn maze.
